其 核心内容包括由浅入深的两个层面，一是"使信息可访问"，二是"使信息可理解"。还有学者将信息构建的要素分为显性和隐性两类，认为IA的显性要素是组织、导航、标识和检索4大系统，隐性要素就是用户体验和可用性。基于用户体验和可用性的IA流程是目标规划、用户分析、设计建模、原型测试四个阶段。
